On July 4th, Mike Mallack will be opening for our “Red, White and Blues” Blues Concert and Picnic Under the Star. This is a return trip for Mike Mallack to Belle Grove Plantation. He appeared here for our Christmas Tour last year. We could be more excited to have him return!
Mike’s passion for music started at an early age. His earliest memories were hanging out in smoky, country bars and county fairs watching his dad tear it up on the drums. A native of the Rockville/Gaithersburg area of Maryland, Mike started his musical journey as a rock and go-go drummer for high-school bands. When he discovered he could sing, Mike picked up a guitar and found his soul was in songwriting and singing inspirational and fun, uplifting music. Anyone who’s seen Mike perform can tell you about the old school influence. Elvis. Skynyrd. Hendrix. John Bonham. Marshall Tucker. Smooth, soul, old school, rock…. But “do it in an uplifting way … I just want to bring smiles to people’s faces with my music” Mike notes, “I’m just grateful to God for where he’s brought me and where I am now”
Thank you to JJ&T Entertainment (http://www.jjtentertainment.com) for turning us on to this amazing singer!
